Chicken manchurian

Chicken Manchurian is an excellent side dish for naan/ fried rice. It can be made in a dry form as well as a semi-gravy version. The featured recipe is the restaurant style version. It has a moderate spice level and goes well with your entrees.





Ingredients



To Marinate /chicken:



Boneless chicken cubes-1 lb
corn flour-3 tbsp
All Purpose flour/maida -2 tbsp
Ginger garlic paste-1 tsp
chili powder-1 tsp
soy sauce-1 tsp

For Sauce:


Chopped ginger-1 tsp
Chopped garlic-1tsp
soy sauce-1 tbsp
chilli sauce-1 tbsp
Tomato ketchup-1 tbsp
pepper powder-1 tsp
onion-1/2 cubed
capsicum-1/2 cubed
Green chilli-1 finely chopped
corrn flour-1tbsp
water-1/2 cup
spring onion -Finely chopped
salt to taste


oil for frying

Method


  • Take a bowl,add all purpose flour,corn flour,ginger garlic paste,chilli powder,required salt and sprinkle some water to form a thick  batter.





  • Add chicken and let it rest for 15 to 20 min .



  • Fry the chicken in hot oil.

  • Once done,transfer to a plate /bowl and keep aside.

  • In a pan,add oil and then chopped ginger and garlic.

  • Add onion ,capsicum and green chilies and saute for few minutes.

  • Add chilli sauce,soy sauce and tomato ketchup.Saute for few minutes.



  • Mix Corn flour in water and add to it and allow to boil and let it reduce for few minutes


  • Once it thickens ,add the fried chicken.




  • Finally Garnish it with Chopped Spring onions.


  • Yummy Chicken manchurian is ready.
